Principal Ryan Lutz Named Top 40 Under 40 by Birmingham Business Journal
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Cory Watson Attorneys is proud to announce that firm Principal Ryan Lutz has been selected to the Birmingham Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” list for 2019.
The list is comprised of up-and-coming business leaders who are intent on shaping the future of Birmingham and their industries. The winners were chosen from hundreds of nominations submitted last year at BBJ.com, and only a small fraction of the nominees were selected as this year’s finalists.

About Firm Principal Ryan Lutz
Ryan Lutz is a Birmingham native who earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University before returning to study at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Lutz has served Cory Watson clients by winning multi-million dollar verdicts such as a $25 million verdict in a faulty brakes product liability case against Nissan.
He has served as Co-Lead Counsel for nationwide consumer fraud class actions and settlements, taken leading roles in multidistrict litigations involving defective medical devices and pharmaceutical products, and led cases that resulted in changes to national safety standards for glass-front fireplace screens.
One of his most notable accomplishments is representing nearly every city and county in the state of Arkansas against opioid manufacturers and distributors in the fight against the opioid epidemic.
A father of two boys, Lutz’s concern for children extends beyond the courtroom. As a board member and current president of the TumTum Tree Foundation, he oversees fundraising efforts exceeding $12 million for local children’s charities through an annual live wine auction.
