Theodore, AL (September 25, 2021) – A crossing guard was hospitalized following an accident in the Theodore area on Friday morning. At around 7:22 a.m., on September 24, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an accident on Swedetown Road North.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a crossing guard was working in from the Theodore High School on Swedetown Road North. For unknown reasons, a vehicle passed through and struck the pedestrian.
The crossing guard sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to a local hospital for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
