Russellville, AL – 64-Year-Old Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Alabama 24

Russellville, AL (December 11, 2021) – A 64-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Russellville on Friday afternoon, December 10th. The accident happened around 4:20 p.m. on Alabama Highway 24 near mile marker 18.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the woman was driving an SUV when she was hit by a pickup truck. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. A juvenile passenger in her vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. There is no word on the condition of the pickup truck driver.

The ALEA is still investigating the accident at this time. It is not clear whether any charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident. There is no further information available.
