Priceville, AL (November 15, 2021) – A 75-year-old man from Somerville was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, November 14th. The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on East Upper River Road in Priceville.
According to a report from the scene, the man was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup on East Upper River Road. His truck then collided head-on with a 2021 Jeep Compass driven by a 39-year-old from Decatur. The man suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. There is no word on whether the other driver suffered any injuries as a result of the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
The crash is under investigation by the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division. There is no word on the cause of the accident and it is not clear if any charges are expected to be filed at this time.
