Montgomery Car Accidents
A car accident in Montgomery can cause serious adverse consequences. According to Drive Safe Alabama, a crash takes place somewhere in our state approximately once every three minutes. While not all accidents result in injuries, it is estimated that approximately 30 to 40 percent of car accident victims will suffer injuries of some description following a crash. The injuries range from minor to moderate and severe. Unfortunately, injuries caused by car accidents can tend to linger and take a long time to heal, even with advanced medical treatment. This includes broken bones as well as soft tissue injuries, such as strains and sprains.
Following a crash, it is best to have a complete understanding of your legal rights. Many crash victims will just assume that they can handle the case on their own without consulting an attorney. This usually leads to mistakes being made. In many cases, injured motorists will accept a settlement that is much lower than the actual value of their case. This happens far too often when an insurance adjuster calls right after the accident has occurred. It is normally best not to speak with the insurance company until you have talked to a Montgomery car accident lawyer first.
