Mobile, AL (September 17, 2021) – A traffic-related incident caused delays and injuries in the Mobile area on Wednesday evening. Just after 5 p.m., on September 15, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident at the George Wallace Tunnel.
Reports from authorities show that a collision with confirmed injuries blocked the right lanes of the roadway during the evening hours. Police and firefighters closed off the roadway for an extended time as they worked to remove damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
At least one person was transported to an area hospital where they were treated for their injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
