Florence, AL (September 29, 2021) – A student with the University of North Alabama has been hospitalized following a pedestrian accident in Florida on Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 1:15 p.m., on September 28, the Florence Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services responded to the scene of an accident on Pine Street.
Reports from authorities show that a student with the University of North Alabama was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area of Pine Street and Irving Avenue. The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries in the accident.
The victim was airlifted from the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical attention.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the police in Florence.
