Crenshaw County, AL (September 21, 2021) – A 24-year-old female and a 33-year-old male have lost their lives following a motor vehicle collision just north of Luverne. Reports from authorities show that at around 5:40 a.m., on September 20, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ELEA) was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 331.
Reports from authorities show that a 33-year-old male driver and his 24-year-old female were traveling on US Highway 331 in a 2003 Toyota Camry when it collided with a 2019 Kia Optima near mile marker 64, just eight miles north of Luverne.
The man and woman both sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The two victims were pronounced deceased. Crews closed off the roadway for over 6-hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
