Cory Watson Attorneys has been named a Birmingham Business Journal 2021 Veteran-Friendly Company, the journal announced on Wednesday.

One of just three Birmingham-area employers honored, Cory Watson was selected based on efforts to “hire, recruit, and support” career development of military veterans, along with supporting veterans outside of the company through nonprofit work.

The firm has continuously looked to create opportunities for veterans within its doors. Cory Watson strives to emulate their service-oriented qualities in serving clients. Veterans at Cory Watson have contributed to the success of the firm throughout the years due to their work ethic and constant dedication to serve others.

In addition to being named a BBJ 2021 Veteran-Friendly Company, two Cory Watson employees – Intake Manager Adrien Amero and Client Service Representative Matthew Stephens – were named BBJ 2021 “Veterans of Influence”. The award recognizes military veterans who have gone on to have successful careers in Birmingham’s business community. Amero and Stephens have made significant achievements in their professional careers, while maintaining a strong record of innovation and active involvement in the community.

Aside from employing veterans, Cory Watson strives to invest in initiatives, non-profits, and other programs that support veterans in the Birmingham, Memphis, and Nashville areas.

We thank Adrien and Matthew for their dedication to our firm, clients, and community, and thank all veterans for their service to our country.
