BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A $10 million verdict that Cory Watson Attorneys secured in a fatal hit-and-run case has been recognized as a Top 50 Car Accident Verdict by TopVerdict.

Birmingham Mother Killed in 2014 Pedestrian Hit-and-Run
Angela Marie McCall, 34, was killed in a hit-and-run when a speeding driver lost control of his vehicle and drove over a curb on a northeast Birmingham road.
After threatening a witness with a firearm, the driver then fled the scene. Police later identified the man as 25-year-old Sylvester Corderyl Taylor.
Ms. McCall was pronounced dead on the scene around midnight that evening. She was a beloved mother of three. The family pursued justice on behalf of her surviving children, in which Taylor was charged with wrongful death.
A Birmingham jury found in favor of the McCall family on October 16, 2018, awarding a notable civil verdict of $10 million.
The case is Watts v. Taylor et al., case number CV-2015-903382.00, in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Alabama serving Jefferson County.
