Birmingham, AL (December 26, 2021) – Police in Birmingham responded to the scene of a serious car accident in Birmingham on Sunday, December 26th. The collision was reported around 4:20 p.m. on Interstate 459 at Exit 19 near US Highway 280.
The ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division was among the first agencies to arrive. When police got to the scene, they discovered a serious accident involving a vehicle fire. The highway was shut down in both directions in order to clear the area and extinguish the fire. Rescue workers arrived and treated injured victims.
