Fatal Accidents in Alabama
There is nothing more devastating than the sudden and unexpected loss of a family member due to a car accident in Alabama. Sadly, more than 900 people were killed in crashes that took place on our state’s roadways in 2019. The large majority of these accidents will involve careless or negligent driving by one or more motorists. Unfortunately, this negligent driving can also result in the death of innocent motorists who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Under Alabama law, crash victims and their families may have certain legal rights following a fatal accident in Alabama. Our state’s wrongful death law provides family members with an avenue to recover compensation from the negligent driver that caused the accident. The amount of compensation that can be received depends on a number of factors that are specific to your case. Your claim should always be reviewed by a skilled and experienced attorney. Wrongful death law is complicated and should not be handled without the help of trusted counsel.
