Trussville, AL (October 14, 2021) – Authorities in Trussville were called to a major accident on Thursday, October 14th. The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 near mile marker 147 and exit 148 for U.S. 11 in Trussville.
According to reports from the scene, there was an overturned tractor-trailer and at least one passenger vehicle involved in the accident. Rescue crews responded to the scene shortly after the collision occurred. At least one person was treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police blocked the road while they cleared the accident and investigated the cause. There is no word on the identities of the victims and it is not clear if any charges are expected to be filed.
