Trussville, AL (October 1, 2021) – Two people were left injured following a motor vehicle accident in the Trussville area on Thursday. On September 30, the Trussville Police Department was requested to provide assistance on-site at a crash on Interstate 59.
Reports from authorities show that a crash involving a Penske box truck, an 18-wheeler, and two other vehicles blocked both the north and southbound lanes of Interstate 59.
Crews rushed to the scene and immediately blocked off the roadway to prevent further injuries or damage.
Two people involved in the accident were injured. The victims were transported to area hospitals for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
