Spanish Fort, AL (November 20, 2021) – Officials in Spanish Fort responded to a fatal car accident on Saturday, November 20th. The crash took place on the Causeway by Meaher State Park between Exit 30 and Exit 35.
According to Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber, the accident involved two cars. One person was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. At this time, police have not provided any details on the events leading up to the accident. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. The road was shut down while authorities investigated at the scene and cleared the area. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes of travel and to avoid the area if possible.
