Fatal Crahes in Alabama
Alabama can be a dangerous state for motorists. We all get into vehicles every day to get to our destinations. As we travel along highways and busy streets, no one expects to be involved in a serious or fatal accident. However, statistics show us that these crashes happen every day and can affect almost anyone at any time. According to the Alabama Department of Transportation, more than 900 people were killed in Alabama car accidents in 2019. Additionally, near 50,000 victims also sustained injuries.
Following a crash, police must conduct a careful investigation in order to determine the cause of the collision. The large majority of accidents are caused by negligent drivers. The carelessness of these drivers can affect the lives of innocent victims and their families. There is certainly nothing more devastating than the loss of a loved one in a crash, especially when your family member is not at fault for the accident. Fortunately, Alabama law provides remedies for family members who have lost loved ones due to the conduct of other drivers.
