Just a month after launch, Samsung has recalled the new Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after reports of the phones catching fire while charging. Samsung pulled the devices off the market and recalled all devices sold after getting reports that some batteries had burst into flames. The phone hit the market to rave reviews celebrating advanced features including an iris scanner that allows the owner to unlock the phone with their eyes.
Samsung is still putting together details for Galaxy Note 7 users and they’ll be publishing instructions for owners. Samsung announced today the company will replace the devices for free, noting that more than 2.5 million have been sold so far. The Galaxy Note 7 sells for up to $850.
