Mobile, AL (October 9, 2021) – Authorities in Mobile responded to the scene of a serious car accident early Saturday morning. The crash was first reported around 5:30 a.m. on Moffett Road.
Based on an initial report from the scene, there were two cars involved in the accident. Following the crash, both cars caught fire and the occupants became trapped inside the vehicles. Rescue crews rushed to the scene to assist the victims and to provide medical aid. There is no information available on the extent of the injuries suffered. Officials have not provided any details on the events leading up to the accident.
The road was expected to be closed for several hours as police worked to clear the area and investigate the collision. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel.
