Lincoln, AL (October 23, 2021) – Police in Lincoln responded to an accident involving a pedestrian early Friday morning. The crash occurred around 8:00 a.m.
According to Investigator Demarco Willis of the Lincoln Police Department, the woman was walking in an area with dense fog at approximately 8:09 a.m. While walking near the road, she was struck by a passing vehicle. The unidentified woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. She was taken to a local hospital for further treatment. There is no additional update on her condition at this time. The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with authorities following the accident.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no word on whether the driver will be charged.
