Letohatchee Car Accidents
Alabama is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for motorists. According to recent data, the national average for motor vehicle deaths is 7 fatalities per 100,000 population. In Alabama, the rate of traffic fatalities is 13.7 per 100,000. In 2019, 930 people were killed and more than 40,000 were injured in traffic accidents on our state’s roadways. Many of these crashes are largely preventable through the use of ordinary care and caution by all drivers. Unfortunately, many drivers choose to ignore basic safety rules and operate their vehicles in a careless manner, leading to serious Alabama car accidents.
Under Alabama law, car accident victims have certain rights following a crash. If your loved one was killed in the accident, you could file a claim on behalf of your deceased family member. Alabama wrongful death claims must be filed within the two-year statute of limitations period following the death of your loved one. While there is no amount of money that can replace your loss, the compensation that you receive can be used to help offset many of the unexpected expenses that you are facing at this time.
