Hoover, AL (November 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Tuesday, November 30th in Hoover. The crash took place just after midnight on Valleydale Road.
According to police, a 23-year-old man from Birmingham was walking on the roadway when he was struck by a 2018 Nissan Sentra driven by a 27-year-old man from Birmingham. The pedestrian was critically injured in the accident. Rescue workers arrived and pronounced him dead at the accident scene. There were no other injuries reported in the collision. Police have not released any details on the events leading up to the accident.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as investigators worked at the scene. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
