Gadsden, AL (October 31, 2021) – Officials in Gadsden were at the scene of a two-car crash on Friday, October 29th. The collision was reported around 7:30 a.m. along Plemmons Road.
Multiple police and rescue workers responded, including the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division. According to an initial report from the crash scene, a 2003 Honda and a 2011 Chevrolet were involved in the crash, along with a 2019 Volvo and a 2020 Nissan. At this time, there are no details on how the accident took place. Police say that a driver and a passenger in the Honda were taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Both occupants of the Honda are from Boaz. The driver of the 2011 Chevrolet, a woman from Guntersville, was also injured. No one in the Volvo or the Nissan was injured. Motorists in the area experienced delays and were advised to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
The extent of the victim’s injuries and their current conditions are not known at this time. Those involved have not been identified. Troopers are actively investigating the collision and have not issued any charges at this time.
