Attorneys at Cory Watson Attorneys are preparing a wrongful death case against Sylvester Corderyl Taylor for striking and killing Angela Marie McCall with his vehicle, and then fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred around midnight in the 9500 block of Parkway East. A witness recalled honking the horn before passing Taylor. Taylor then sped around the witness, jumping the curb at approximately 60 mph and struck McCall on the sidewalk. McCall was pronounced dead on the scene.
Taylor has been charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident and is currently being held without bail. Attorneys at Cory Watson are representing a family member of Ms. McCall to recover compensation for her death.
Court records show that Taylor was convicted of first-degree robbery in 2008 and subsequently served two years in prison. He was charged with attempted murder in 2012; Taylor was also arrested earlier this year on a charge of attempting to elude police.
We are all saddened by this tragic and senseless loss of life. Cory Watson Attorneys are hard at work to ensure justice and closure for Ms. McCall’s family.
