Birmingham, AL (November 16, 2021) – Multiple victims were taken to the hospital after an eight-vehicle crash in Birmingham on Monday afternoon, November 15th. The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Interstate 59 near Lloyd Noland Parkway.
According to the Birmingham Fire and Rescue, the crash happened in the southbound lanes of the roadway. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time. Rescue workers transported a total of seven people to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no word on their conditions or the extent of their injuries at this time. Police have not provided any information on the cause of the crash. The southbound lanes of the roadway were closed for approximately an hour as officials worked at the scene.
