Cory Watson was pleased to partner with our local NAACP chapter for the Wenonah Community Kid’s Camp as a part of the nationwide Project HELP program. Project HELP stands for Healthy Eating Lifestyles and Physical Activity and is a health initiative that focuses on reducing barriers to a healthy eating lifestyle and physical activity.
The aim of the program is to reduce the prevalence of chronic disease, such as diabetes, obesity, and heart disease among African Americans through a guided education, empowerment, and community program.
Cory Watson donated coloring books and other supplies to Project HELP to aid the project and support our local NAACP Chapter. Donated coloring books include interactive bike safety illustrations that promote a healthy safety-minded lifestyle for kids.
Tonya Lee, the NAACP coordinator for the Project, stopped by the Cory Watson to visit with staff and accept our donation!
