Cory Watson was pleased to provide more than 200 Birmingham area children with shiny new bicycle helmets at the Tempo Family Fun Festival April 11th. The free public event, presented at Crestwood Park by Childcare Resources, included a drum circle, a Zumba exhibition, healthy lifestyle choices, a bicycle rodeo and other cycling activities. Cory Watson attorneys and staff fitted children with new bike helmets and provided cycling safety tips along with coloring books and other giveaways.
“We are thrilled to support this annual festival and we enjoy the opportunity to help families explore cycling and other outdoor activities that can be part of a healthy lifestyle” said attorney Leila Watson, co-founder of the law firm. Watson points out that wearing a helmet has long been recognized as the single most important safety precaution a bicycle rider can take.
Cory Watson created the Helmets for Kids program to encourage children to always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. The firm provides free bicycle helmets for children, along with age appropriate booklets encouraging bicycle safety and accident prevention.
The Helmets for Kids program is part of the firm’s Cory Watson Cares initiative. Through Cory Watson Cares, the firm partners with local non-profit organizations that expand educational opportunities, raise awareness of injury prevention, improve the community and help people live healthier, safer and happier lives.
